The Movement You Need is a Beatles centered show fronted by Brendan Hunt, Ted Lasso's Coach Beard. This is not just a stage show, but a multi-platform entertainment vehicle-- we are on the verge of a sold-out commercial run at Steppenwolf in Chicago from APRIL 19 - MAY 10, in advance of a Broadway run this fall, with a TV Stand-Up Special to follow, and plans for London and a tour in 2027.

Emmy & SAG Award winner Brendan Hunt (Ted Lasso’s co-creator/writer/Coach Beard) presents his hilarious new one-man show about how Beatles music changed his life. Fueled by bittersweet memories of Brendan's Chicago childhood, a love for The Beatles that got him through it, and the tongue-tied moment he met Paul McCartney, The Movement You Need is a laugh-filled love letter to the family that makes us, the music that shapes us, and the crazy shit life throws our way.
Directed by Ashley Rodbro (David Byrne’s American Utopia), and produced by Vivek J. Tiwary (Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill, Radiohead's Hamlet Hail to the Thief) who has an unmatched track record of highly profitable and critically acclaimed stage shows.
Season 4 of Ted Lasso will be released on Apple TV+ in the coming months, and Brendan will be a World Cup commentator over the summer-- so he will be very much in the public eye throughout the year. The timing is perfect!
We're targeting a $3.4M USD raise to cover both Chicago and Broadway, with Co-Producer levels beginning at $250K. I've attached the investment documents along with the entitlements charts for more detail. I've also attached a personal note from Brendan.
SALES UPDATE + PROJECTIONS
We have been onsale for a few weeks and are tracking to sell at least 90% capacity! And for weekly breakeven in Chicago we only have to play to 60% capacity. So I'm cautiously confident that we will far exceed that, and likely be a complete sellout!
